Dr. Rafia has reached her todays position climbed the academic ladder through dedication and hard work from the very beginning of her childhood. She is a Ph.D. holder from Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. she's enriched Comilla University's Economics department since 2010. After completing her master degree (MSS in Economics) she started her teaching career in a reputed private university named ‘Asian University of Bangladesh’ and serving there more than a year she joined Comilla University in the month of August, 2010. Now she is an Associate professor of Economics department of Comilla University.
Dr. Rafia has a long academic success story in her academic journey. She achieved merit scholarship in both class five and class eight. She passed her SSC and HSC examination with first division with remarkable score (star marks in SSC) from science group. Then she got admitted in the department of Economics, Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. Dr. Rafia passed both her BSS and MSS degree from the same department with first class first position.
Beside her academic career she’s built a strong research portfolio addressing critical national issues—climate-induced migration, economic behavior of different group of people, and educational quality. She published 12 research articles in reputed national/international journal. She also supervised number of research students at both BSS and MSS level. She completed number of research work funded by University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and Comilla University Research Grant. Her research focuses extensively on migration due to climate change, educational economics, and the economic behavior of marginalized people.
