Dr. Rahman is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Comilla University. He received his B.Sc. and M.S. from the Department of Chemistry at the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in 2011 and 2013, respectively, with distinction in both. In 2014, he joined the Department of Chemistry at Comilla University as a lecturer and became an Assistant Professor in 2017. In 2024, he was promoted to the position of Associate Professor. He was a MEXT Scholar at the Shinya Hayami Laboratory, Kumamoto University, Japan, from 2020 to 2023 and was awarded a PhD in Chemistry in 2023 with academic excellence award for his contribution in research. Dr. Rahman has joined as a Foreign Postdoctoral Researcher at International Research Organization for Advanced Science & Technology (IROAST) and continue working until September 2025. In 2024, he was award with special research award for his significant research with graphene oxide from Graphene oxide society, Japan. His current research interests include oxide nanosheet, layered double hydroxide nanosheet for next-generation high-efficiency electrochemical energy conversion devices such as fuel cell, battery, water splitting, sensors, etc. He has the expertise to run and control sophisticated instruments such as Spin coating, CVD, Spin coating, XRD, Raman, XRF, XPS, UV-VIS, FTIR, SEM, EDS, AFM, etc. He performs computational studies of new materials using Material Studio, and Gaussian software. Dr. Rahman is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry, Chemical Society of Japan, and the Bangladesh Chemical Society. He published 1 book chapters and 27 peer-reviewed articles and attended more than 10 international conferences. He has visited Japan, France, Germany, Switzerland, China, and many more.
