Mr. Nobin Kundu is a Ph.D. Fellow in Economics at Massey University, New Zealand, where he has been awarded research grants to support his doctoral studies. He is currently on study leave from his position as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Comilla University, Cumilla, Bangladesh. Mr. Kundu received the Bangladesh Prime Minister Fellowship (BPMF) and a Postgraduate Scholarship from the University of Dundee, United Kingdom, in 2018, through which he completed his postgraduate degree in International Finance. He also holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Economics from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.

 

His doctoral research, titled “Essays on Political Regime Transition, Environmental Quality, and Sectoral Productivity,” explores the intersection of environmental change, political regime changes, and sectoral productivity. His research interests include agricultural productivity, environmental quality, renewable energy, and political regime transitions.

 

Mr. Kundu has conducted several workshops and training programs on forecasting techniques, data management, and econometric applications using Stata, R, and EViews. With over sixteen years of university-level teaching experience, he has taught a range of courses, including macroeconomics, international trade, international finance, and econometrics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to his academic work, Mr. Kundu has participated in multiple research projects and regularly contributes analytical articles to national newspapers in Bangladesh.
