Hasena Begum is working as a Assistant Professor at Department of Anthropology, Comilla University, Cumilla. After completing BSS and MSS from Department of Anthropology, Shahjala University of Science and Technology, Sylhet; she worked in a few development organizations like FIVDB, Steps Towards Development, International Mother Language Institute. Her research interests on Climate change and Disaster Management, Development, Public Health and Gender issues.
