Dr. Shapan Chandra Majumder is the Professor at the Department of Economics, Comilla University, Bangladesh. His research fields include applied economics, health economics, environmental economics, and Next-11 countries studies. He graduated from University of Chittagong, Bangladesh with a master's degree, was awarded Ph.D. degree from Shandong University, China. He has achieved unparalleled academic excellence in the research field of Bangladesh which has earned him "Vice Chancellor's Award (2020-2022) for Outstanding Researcher-2023". He has many articles mostly published in SCI, SCIE, SSCI, ESCI and Scopus indexed journals which have an immense impact-factor upon the field. Specifically include: Published 1 paper in SSCI journals, including International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management (impact factor 11.1) classified as Q1, 1 paper published in SSCI journal - Marine Policy (Impact factor 3.5) as classified Q1, published 8 papers in SCIE journals- Energies (impact factor 3.3) and published 3 papers in Environment Development and Sustainability (impact factor 4.9) as classified as Q1.
