Professor A F M Abdul Moyeen is the Vice Chancellor of Comilla University. He holds a Ph.D. in strategic management from the University of Stirling, UK, and served as a post-doctoral fellow at the Australian National University – Australia’s highest-ranked university. His study for the degree of PhD was supported by the highly competitive and prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship program of United Kingdom. He has taught 23 years at the University of Dhaka, and 14 years (2007-2020) at RMIT University and Federation University Australia. Outside academia, he was extensively engaged as technical advisor, consultant, and manager in multi-donor (The World Bank, UKAid, SIDA, and Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation) funded entrepreneurship promotion projects in Bangladesh. He has co-edited one research-based book, and published 37 articles in national and international journal, research-based books, and conference proceedings. 

 

Dr. Moyeen has worked with people of diversified culture, and gained experience through travelling extensively to 32 countries including the USA, New Zealand, China, Italy, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Morocco, Portugal, UAE, India, Singapore, Chile, Germany, and Netherlands. He is a key member of Social Responsibility Research Network (SRRnet). 

 

His Excellency, the President and Chancellor of Comilla University Mr. Abdul Hamid appointed Dr Moyeen as Vice Chancellor for four years, starting from the 31st of January 2022, as per the section 10 (1) of the Comilla University Act, 2006.
