Professor Dr. Meher Neger is holding a position of Professor at the Department of Marketing, Comilla University, Bangladesh. She gained her PhD degree in the field of “Brand Switching Behavior.” As a google scholar she has highest citation in this affiliated field based on world ranking. She obtained M.Phil in “Consumer Behavior” and she was achieved fellowship for M.Phil program from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. She had her MBA& BBA (Marketing) from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. She obtained “A” Grade in both MBA& BBA Levels. She was awarded “Gold Medal” in her graduate level for excellent academic performance. She enjoyed Merit Scholarship from Rajshahi Board to secure district 1st position in HSC Level.

 

Currently she has been served as a Head of the Department of Marketing at Comilla University. Prior to joining Comilla University as a faculty, she worked as a Senior Lecturer in different Private Universities (Bangladesh University, Northern University, and ASA University) in Bangladesh. Prof. Meher has been started the journey as a Lecturer of Bangladesh University in 2007. She has all most 19 years teaching and Research experiences.She has also been expert member in question moderation committee and  year final viva-board of other Public and Private Universities.

 

Meher has also administrative experiences, like as founder Students' Adviser, Senior program director of MBA (weekend), Head of the Department of  Marketing,Convener of Website Monitoring Committee, Convener of Sexual Violation Prevention Cell, Hall Provost of Residential Hall, Member of Bullying and Iftizing Committee, Convener of Art Competition in " National Child Day", Member of OBE Curriculum of Marketing Department, Member of  editorial board of the Comilla University Journal of Business Studies, Member of Nirbahi committee of Faculty of Business Studies of Comilla University, Member of Self - Assessment committee, Department of Marketing, Comilla University, Member of Academic Council of  Comilla University, Prof. Meher was a Member of central organizing committee of Comilla University to organize the "International Mother Language Day", " Independent Day", and " Victory Day" of Bangladesh. Neger was an Executive Member of Teachers' Association of Comilla University. Notably, she is Founding female faculty and also Founding female Professor of Business Studies of Comilla University.

 

Professor Meher is  a debator and she was a Convener of "Debating Club" of  Northern University Bangladesh. At present she is a Moderator of Debating Club , Department of Marketing of Comilla University. As a researcher she has been published articles related to brand switching, consumer behavior, tourism & hospitality management, and service marketing in different International, Domestic and also Q1 ranking journals.She  actively participates as a reviewer of different  Journal of  Public and Private Universities, like Journal of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Chittagong University, Gono University, Jahingirnagor University. Member of  Editoroal Board of the Comilla University Journal of Business Studies. She is also a member of advisory committee of online journal of Gono Bishwabidyalay. Meher has been participated in different International Conference as a presentor and also as a session chair in 4th International Conference on ITD-2025.

 

According to the World Rankings for Scientist in 2025, Dr. Meher has been recognized among Comilla University's  top 10 Scientists in Business faculity. In the perspective of Business Management and Marketing in Bangladesh, the ranking of  Prof. Meher is 70. In  Asia, 5892, among world scientists, it is 18196 in Marketing. Prof. Neger has also participated in various workshops, training programs and  seminars organized by Northern University, ASA University and Comilla University of renowned local and international scholers and trainers. Meher has supervised large number of internship and thesis students of diffrerent private and public Universities in Bangladesh.She has ideas to conduct the research projects. Her research outputs significantly impacts the field of  business and marketing.
