Md. Sadequzzaman was born in Pirgachha Upazila, Rangpur District, Bangladesh. He commenced his academic journey at Pirgachha J.N. High School, completing his Secondary School Certificate, and later attended Dhaka Residential Model College for his Higher Secondary Certificate. In both examinations, he demonstrated remarkable academic excellence, notably securing 5th place in the combined merit list in his SSC examination. He subsequently pursued higher education at Jahangirnagar University, earning both his Bachelor’s (Honours) and Master’s degrees in Archaeology, achieving second position in the First Class in both programs. Md. Sadequzzaman began his professional career at Grameenphone Ltd. on 30 March 2006, where he served with distinction for seven and a half years. In 2013, he joined the Department of Archaeology at Comilla University, where he is currently serving as an Assistant Professor. An ardent researcher and field archaeologist, Md. Sadequzzaman has published 13 research articles in esteemed national and international journals. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Dr. A.K.M. Shahnawaz, a renowned historian and archaeologist at Jahangirnagar University. Md. Sadequzzaman has accumulated extensive experience in archaeological fieldwork, participating in major excavations such as the Wari-Bateshwar archaeological site in Narsingdi and the Nateshwar Buddhist Complex in Bikrampur. He is proficient in conducting full-coverage archaeological surveys and has demonstrated expertise in managing and implementing research projects effectively, both individually and in team settings. His passion for cultural heritage, historical research, and archaeological exploration drives his academic endeavors. His primary research interests include Field Archaeology, Prehistoric Archaeology, Ceramic Studies in Archaeology, and the Archaeology of Bangladesh.
