Prof. Dr. Banani Biswas is a distinguished Professor of English Literature at Comilla University with a strong academic footprint in Post-Colonial Literature, Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, and Film & Media Studies. She is an aspiring researcher and educator whose works examine gender dynamics, decoloniality, cultural burdens and intersectional socio-cultural struggles in literary, electronic, and digital texts. Her research has been published in prestigious international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, including Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, and Elsevier. She has served as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Chair of the Department of English, Additional Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university, demonstrating extensive administrative and academic leadership and contributing to quality enhancement initiatives in higher education. She has also led several research projects funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC).
